Month: September 2010

Yay! Jon finally got home today! It is funny, before I had Lillie I never minded him being gone. I knew it was part of the job. My dad was a coach so I had an idea of what I was getting into. I used to just plan my huge projects while he was gone and keep myself blissfully busy and he would often come back from a recruiting trip to an entirely different looking home – new wall colors, furniture painted a new color and moved to another room, etc.

First, a huge thank you so everyone who made Monday and Tuesday our busiest days ever in our Etsy shop! We are completely sold out of the Fairyland Quote with Silhouette and Ribbon Shirt and sold out of several sizes in several other styles. I have two more Mary Poppins styles coming in hopefully by the weekend and I also am having more of the Fairyland Shirts printed as well as more Jane Austen’s.

Hello everyone! Sorry, I have been such a bad blogger lately. Unfortunately, I just can’t seem to feel better and get caught up on everything. There is lots to write about, though. First, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made today such a busy day in our store!

I am a bit late on this one. I know I said I would announce the winner on Wednesday and somehow it is past midnight so technically it is Thursday but I am just now getting on my computer. Sorry about that! It has been a very long week so far and I am behind on just about everything.

We had a bit of a scare last night will our precious little Lillabel! We had gone out to the river at Governor’s Land with a group of William and Mary kids where they were having a Tribe Fellowship (kind of like FCA) gathering. There was a huge turnout including several of Jon’s basketball players who are really involved at church and with Tribe Fellowship.

One of the things that has been by far the most surprising to me since we started Dear Lillie last summer is the amount of requests for bridesmaids dresses and flower girl tutus. Well, actually it isn’t that surprising that we get a lot of requests for flower girl tutus seeing how we sell them, but it continually surprises me how many requests we get for bridesmaids dresses.
