Month: July 2011

I am so excited to be hosting this giveaway for my sweet friend, Amy, of Evy’s Tree. She is unbelievably creative and makes and sells beautiful embellished sweatshirts and t-shirts. In the last post I showed Jamie, Lillie and Lola all wearing the Lacey Zip-Up.

First, let me warn you that this is the first of several tutorials involving Jane Austen that you will see in the coming weeks. Second, this project is so much easier than you would think. Until this past year I have always avoided projects that involved interfacing because I thought they sounded way too difficult and confusing.

I have been trying to take pictures over the last few weeks of everyone in the family with Lorelei. We have photos everywhere of our whole family with Lillie but obviously not many of Lola yet. I really want to update all of the family photos we have going up our staircase when we return home in a few weeks.

I hope you all have had a lovely week. It has been a busy one here as we have been busy working away on our new website which we plan on launching September 1st.  Jason has been knee-deep working in HTML and CSS and he also just added a twitter page for us (@dearlillie).

A few days ago someone commented on our blog about seeing us mentioned in the newest issue of Romantic Country. I assumed they had just gotten us confused with someone else. Well, Monday night I took Lillie to the bookstore for a little bit and I flipped through a copy of the Fall issue of Romantic Country and was completely shocked and thrilled to see Dear Lillie mentioned on page 20!

Here are some photos of Jamie and Josh’s great room. I think they did a fabulous job, and this is now my favorite room in their home! I think the wall color is perfect for the room. It is Sparrow by Benjamin Moore.  The chairs are from Ballard Design. We made the silhouette pillows ourselves, and we will have a tutorial for those soon (and we also will be selling them in September).
