Month: December 2013

I haven’t spent much time on my computer this past week but that’s because I’ve been busy working away on another room in our house. First, I got all of our Christmas decorations put away (except for the paperwhites and a couple of wreaths) and then I got to work priming and painting the trim in our other extra bedroom and started on the walls.

We just wanted to pop in and wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I thought I would share our 2013 Christmas Card along with our ones from the last few years with you today:

Merry Christmas!

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you: he is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 2:11

I am going to try to squeeze one last post in here before Christmas! I took these pictures a little while ago but then I had some trouble with my card reader and couldn’t get them onto my computer.  Fortunately, it’s all fixed now.  Anyway, here are some photos of our kitchen decorated for Christmas:

The hot chocolate mugs were an anniversary gift several years ago from Burdicks

I added some new words to this chalkboard platter from my mother-in-law:

Love these little trees from Trader Joe’s:

This fancy ginger ale from Trader Joe’s was over in the corner to the right of the stove but I couldn’t get a good shot of it because it was so shadowy under the cabinets so I moved it here.

Last week I showed you the progress we have made so far in our guest bedroom. You can find that post here with some before and after shots as well as a full source list. When I was playing around adding some accessories to the room I first tried out some pops of red.

While Jon was out on the road recruiting last week the girls and I went to New Hampshire for a few days. It was a relatively quick trip with lots of snow so we didn’t do a whole lot and I didn’t take very many pictures but I did shoot a few of the little Christmas vignettes at my parent’s house.

Although we still have more to do in this room (eventually wallpaper above the chair rail, a hutch, a non-made-by-me table, etc.) now that we’ve made a decent amount of progress in here I thought it would be fun to set the table. First I brought our bench in from the kitchen.
