Sorry! This post was supposed to go up several days ago but our internet went out (which sadly happens quite often – ugh!) Fortunately it’s back up and running again finally so here are the images from Jason’s hallway.

I couldn’t find any before pictures but basically it was just yellowy cream walls with yellowy cream trim and a yellowy cream door. Before we got up there for the summer, Jason did quite a bit of patchwork to the walls and then Jamie painted the trim and doors so all I had to do was paint the walls and hang a few things. We didn’t really want to spend practically any money on the hallway so we used paint we already had – I think it was called Rockport Gray and a board we already had along with some hooks we found from when we used to sell wood signs a few years ago. So, we were able to make the coat rack for free which was nice. And we already had the IKEA frames so we just added two new photos to them and then made a sign for above that coat rack and that was about it.  And I am excited that we will have more of these signs available in our shop later this week.

Source List:

Wall Color – I think Rockport Gray (it was one we found in his basement from last summer and just used it because we already had it) by BM in a matte finish
Trim – Simply White by BM in a semi-gloss finish
Doors – Wrought Iron by BM in semi-gloss
Enter His Gates SignDear Lillie (coming this week)
Coat Rack  – We made it with a 1 by 8 piece of wood (about 6 feet long) stained with Provincial and added hooks from IKEA
Large Hat – ?
Small Hat – J. Crew several years ago
Sweaters and Sweatshirts – J. Crew and Evy’s Tree
Purse – TJMaxx years and years ago
Shoes – Target
White Frames – IKEA

I hope you all are having a lovely weekend!

  1. I love what you're doing to the house so don't think I'm a hater when I ask; what does Jason think if all the changes? Does it resemble more of a bachelor pad between styled shoots? Just curious. I know some men are happy to have another style or decorate their house but I don't see much representation of him or his personal taste. Maybe Jason can write a post about this topic!?

    1. Perhaps I will have to get back to guest posting! As far as my personal style, I don't really care one way or another as long as things are relatively clean and Jenni picks up after her projects haha.

  2. I love this hallway…especially the sign. I just checked your shop, and while it isn't for sale yet I hope you will list the size and thickness of this sign and also the material it is made with. I would like this for a wedding gift and am curious how heavy it will be (the newlyweds are looking for something above their sofa) and hoping after purchase I could have it shipped directly to them. Thanks.

  3. I just stumbled across your blog, and I am so glad I did! Beautiful home! And I just wanted to comment that I absolutely love that you wrote the resources down for every single item we can see!! Even though some items were purchased long ago (TJ Maxx)…it is still so great of you to reference everything for your readers. THANK YOU FOR THAT!! 🙂 – Rachel

  4. Hi there! Can you tell me what stain you used for the coat rack? I know you mentioned provincial, but is that the color name or the brand? I appreciate it!

  5. Dear Lillie, how was the sign for above that coat rack made? Or where can I buy it? What a beautiful idea.
    Thank You!
