A couple of weeks ago we had a 70 degree day and it seemed like warmer spring weather was in the not too distant future so we started adding some spring like touches to our family room. Of course that turned out to be rather ironic seeing how the weather changed and this past week we’ve had snow and absolutely frigid temperature. School was out the entire week – ahhhh!
So, this room has a mix of things – we added in some of our aqua colored pillows and moved the artwork to the mantel and added a few fresh flowers, but we kept the wool throw and the pom pom blanket as well as the knit pillows for now because it’s so cold we still want to be able to cozy up in here.

And we finally filled in this spot on the wall that’s been bare for a while. We knew we wanted to put one of our signs there and now we have one that goes perfectly in here. And we love that it’s an Irish quote as we have lots of Irish blood in us. My dad is 100% Irish.

Our new sign will be available this coming Thursday. You can check the listing out here.

  1. Jennifer,
I recently ordered your "Irish Blessing" sign and it arrived today. I am absolutely delighted with it. It was packaged beautifully! We recently lost our grandson and at the funeral, the priest recited this blessing at the end of the service. When we got home, I saw you were offering it and I wanted to get it for our son and daughter-in-law. Thank you so much!!!! I really enjoy your blog and have enjoyed seeing the transformation of your home. God bless!!!!

  2. Jennifer, I recently ordered your "Irish Blessing" print. It arrived today and i am absolutely delighted. It was packaged so lovely. We recently lost our grandson and at the funeral the priest recited that blessing at the end of the service. When I got home, I saw you were offering that print. I decided to purchase it for our son and daughter-in-law as a remembrance. Thank you so much!!! I have enjoyed your blog and your transformation of your new home. It is just beautiful. God Bless!!!

  3. I love your spring touches! It's snowing here- for the fifth weekend in a row. Come on, spring! I love that you chose a sign with sentimental value for your home. It makes it all the more special!

  4. Beautiful as always!! Jennifer, how are the bar stools working out? I know you got bar height instead of counter height…are you still liking them? is it comfy for adults too? I love the look of them, but I have a counter height island and am afraid to pull the trigger. thanks so much, eileen

    1. Thank you! They are perfect for our children, and we find them comfortable for adults although there isn't really room to cross your legs (other than that we like the height). They probably would not be ideal for a taller person though.
