Painted Pumpkins in Lillie’s Room

Lillie’s been begging to paint some pumpkins pink. We bought a few the other day and I’m planning on getting out the paints with her soon. In the meantime, I thought I would surprise her the other morning when she came home from school with two pumpkins for her room. The large one is real and painted with Lillie’s old nursery wall color, Melted Ice Cream. It looked more pink on the walls. It looks a bit yucky on the pumpkin and I wish I had just painted it Ballet White like the smaller faux pumpkin. I did these pretty quickly seeing how they were just a playful little surprise for Lillie and I got a little sloppy with my painting but Lillie didn’t care. She was so excited when she saw them and kept exclaiming over them. I love this age – they are so easy to please and impress!

I let Lillie paint these two little mini pumpkins once Lola was in bed.

      My mom got me the mirror from Pottery Barn before Lillie was even born. It hung in the kitchen in our last home. I think it was around 5 years ago. You might be able to find one on Ebay.

  20. Pink & white pumpkins-so charming! I picked up the new BHG Christmas magazine without even flipping through it and was so happy to see the pictures of your lovely home. Pinterest is great but I love to turn the pages of a magazine. I don't think I wrote to tell you how much I love my "give thanks" pillow cover. I have packed away the "fleurs" one until next spring and I'm anxiously awaiting the Joy to the World to be available (I hope) I love everything you make to grace our homes with beauty!

We have restocked the Joy to the World covers once so far this fall and they sold out but we will be restocking them again as often as we can leading up to Christmas!   28. Lovely! My husband and I were in Publix earlier today and I started flipping through a magazine, I got so excited when I saw you featured in it! I told my husband "I follow her blog!!!" lol…he just looked at me like "umm, okay".
