Last week we had the exciting opportunity to go visit this years HGTV Dream Home in Florida on Merritt Island with a few other bloggers and some wonderful ladies from Delta Faucet and their PR team. First we got to tour the island in a helicopter, which was so much fun, and then we headed over to the home. Every single year I watch it on TV so it was kind of surreal getting to see this year’s in person. We got to meet  and talk with the builder and all the other amazing people who worked on it including the incredibly talented designer, Brian Patrick Flynn.

The house sits at the end of a beautiful tree lined driveway and the colors of it are so soothing. I love the pale blue color of the shutters and trim.

This is an awful quality photo but it’s the only one I have from this angle so I am going to share it anyway. This is what you see when you walk in. I wish I had a better photo because when you walk in you immediately look out and see an incredible view of the water and this beautiful main living space with these soft soothing colors.

Once you get in the room you see this incredible mural on the wall. The designer, Brian Patrick Flynn created it from a 1970’s photo taken nearby. I don’t think I ever would have been brave enough to have tried this but it was absolutely amazing in person and I think was one of my favorite details! It was so unexpected and fabulous!

I wish I had taken more closeup shots of this room because the details were all so beautiful. Like the nailhead trim on the sofas and the beautiful cable knit throws.
The kitchen opened up right off of this main living space and flowed perfectly with the rest of the room. I loved that Brian took the tile all the way to the ceiling!

I absolutely LOVE this faucet from Delta! In fact I think we are going to use this exact one (or something quite similar) in an upcoming project. It has their patented Touch2O Technology.

The texture on the stools was so beautiful.

The cabinets also had a texture to them which I thought was so cool.

The dining room was also part of that main living space. It was opposite the living room. I think it goes without saying that I love this room as well.

The farmhouse table was beautiful and I am still drooling over the rug.

There are two bedrooms off the main living space. I didn’t get any good photos of the first one but here are some of my favorite one! The blue tones were so stunning – especially because looking out these windows you had a great view of the water.

I loved all of the layers in this room and the mix of local antiques with new more modern pieces.

And here is the bathroom that is attached to that bedroom. The tile work in here was amazing.

And this gorgeous marlin string art is making me itch to try a string art project myself.

Then upstairs was the master bedroom and bathroom. The master bathroom was absolutely incredible. The chandelier, the tub, the shower – where do I even start?

And here is the master bedroom. You get to wake up literally look right out onto the water!

And back downstairs there is this fun and colorful room. I love the gallery wall and the playful yet still glamorous feel of the space.

The doors and windows were gorgeous!

And of course, we can’t forget the matching doghouse! How cute is this?!?

And here are a few pictures of the backyard.

I am so grateful to the team at Delta for inviting me along and for everyone at the Dream Home for making it such an incredible experience.

I hope you all have a fabulous week ahead!

  1. Everything is so beautiful, but I have to say that the white bedroom with all the soothing blues is my favorite way to decorate!! Love it. And those bathrooms with all the amazing tile…swoon!!

  2. The setting of that house and the view is gorgeous. I am loving all of the blues used throughout and the flooring is beautiful. Fabulous kitchen and of course the matching dog house!

  3. Like to know if there is a way to find out what products were used in this house? I am interested in the porcelain wood tile in the bathroom.

  4. Would be a dream come truer than true. Not only the gorgeous house inside and out and all the folks who made it gorgeous – but I could finally live way closer to my daughter and brother. Now that would be the ultimate dream of a lifetime!!
